Ayyoub Bouaddi is set to complete his move from Lille to Manchester City, with the highly rated midfielder scheduled to fly to Manchester today to finalise the transfer.

The deal has been agreed for an initial £81 million, with a further £4 million in add ons, taking the potential total value to £85 million.

Bouaddi’s family have already visited Manchester in recent weeks as preparations for the move progressed, with the 18-year-old now expected to undergo his medical before completing the formalities of his transfer.

The Moroccan international is set to sign a five-year contract with Manchester City, with an option included to extend his stay for a further season.

Bouaddi leaves Lille after three seasons at the club. 63 Ligue 1 appearances under his belt at the age of just 18. The teenager is yet to score a senior professional goal in his career.

Manchester City clearly are convinced on his qualities with the high fee being a package the FA Cup champions were eager to pay throughout the window. He will become the Citizens third most expensive signing behind Elliot Anderson and Jack Grealish.
