Liverpool Closing in on £120M Bradley Barcola

Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain have engaged in direct contact with one another as the Reds ramp up their pursuit in signing French winger Bradley Barcola. PSG value him at around £120 million.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Cody Gakpo from Liverpool and with that deal looking highly likely, Andoni Iraola is keen on bringing in an instant replacement who has been identified as Bradley Barcola. Liverpool have admired the Frenchman throughout the window but until now have held back on making any offers.

It is understood that Liverpool have submitted a package worth over £85 million which has been rejected as PSG believe he is worth a lot more money than that. It is expected that the six-time UEFA Champions League winners will continue the talks and make an improved offer to sign Barcola.

Personal terms are understood to not be an issue at all. Barcola loves the idea of playing for Liverpool in the Premier League and is excited to be a first team regular in a top side. This was an issue for him last season as he managed to play most of the league fixtures but the all-important games, he was benched for Desire Doue. This included the Champions League final where PSG were victorious over Arsenal on penalties.

A host of other clubs have shown a strong interest in Barcola this summer. Most notably Arsenal but the Premier League champions never properly pursued him and had alternatives they felt were a better fit for their project.

Barcola scored 13 goals and assisted five during the 2025/2026 season with the French champions. He also enjoyed a successful World Cup campaign with France where he scored three and assisted another in just eight appearances. Barcola is heavily regarded as one of the most exciting left wingers in Europe. The 23-year-old is well known for his tricky feet, electric pace and fantastic positioning. He also has a healthy habit of tracking back and pressing intensely throughout games forcing errors from opponents.

Liverpool is confident a deal can be reached, and PSG are focused on signing Ferran Torres from Barcelona as look to keep a strong selection of attackers for the new campaign where they will aim to win the Champions League for a third consecutive season.

IF Liverpool were to sign Barcola, it will be their third signing in a year that has cost a fee over £100 million.
